Building Strong, Confident Swimmers

Water Warriors is dedicated to building strong, confident swimmers through a progressive and supportive approach to aquatic learning. Our program begins with water safety and water confidence, ensuring every swimmer feels comfortable and secure in the water.

As swimmers grow, we introduce the four major strokes — freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly — with an emphasis on proper technique and body awareness. From there, swimmers continue to refine their strokes, develop flip turns, and build efficiency through guided practice and personalized instruction.

Our goal is to create a positive environment where swimmers of all levels can learn, grow, and succeed in the water.

What to Know

Everything you need to know before your swimmer's first lesson.

  • Lessons must be scheduled in advance via the Water Warriors website.
  • Payment is due upon arrival to the swim lesson and before it begins.
  • Parents or guardians must remain on-site throughout the duration of the lesson.
  • Only the instructor and registered swimmer will be allowed in the pool during lessons.
  • Swimmers from the same family may schedule lessons at the same time with no more than three students per class.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to receive a make-up lesson.
  • Make-up lessons must be utilized prior to that year's Labor Day weekend.
  • Missed lessons without notice may be forfeited.

Lessons may be canceled due to inclement weather or unsafe pool conditions. Canceled lessons will be rescheduled based on mutual availability. Water Warriors will do its best to notify families of inclement weather conditions and cancellations as early as possible.

Safety is the number one priority. To keep the instructor and swimmer safe, Water Warriors follows these pool safety rules:

  • No running near the pool.
  • Children must wait for instructor permission before entering the water.
  • Proper swim attire is required. Children who are not yet toilet trained (regardless of age) are required to wear a swim diaper.
  • Parents should supervise children (and siblings) before, during, and after lessons.
  • Students will remain seated on the pool's steps until called upon for their turn.
  • Students' heads will remain above the water while awaiting their turn to swim.
  • No spitting of water at any time.
  • Everyone gets treated with respect. Repeated violations will result in the student being removed from the pool to review the purpose of our safety rules.

While not comprehensive, the following covers the most common pool emergency scenarios:

  • Minor vomit incident: Remove debris with a skimmer net. No closure needed.
  • Moderate vomit / contamination: Clear swimmer from the water and begin cleaning protocol. Widespread contamination (three arm-lengths) requires chemical shocking before reopening.
  • Fecal matter — solid, minimal: Can be removed with a skimmer net; lessons may continue.
  • Fecal matter — multiple pieces or diarrhea: Clear the pool immediately. All classes canceled for the remainder of the day — non-negotiable due to waterborne illness risk.
  • Blood in pool — minor: A few drops require no closure; chlorine handles disinfection. Remove the affected swimmer promptly and calmly.
  • Blood in pool — larger amounts: Pool closure may be necessary based on spread.
  • Life-threatening emergency: Call 9-1-1 immediately.
